Memory Box Stencil and Dies

Beautiful card made by Carmela Fox.
The background trees are done using
Memory Box Birch Tree Stencil.  The cute bunny is
Fluffy Bunny Die and the birds in the trees are
the Resting Bird Die.  Carmela made a stencil out of the
Wildflowers Die from Poppy Stamps.

Thanks Carmela.  Love your card.

Another cute card by Carmela Fox.   Several dies
used here.  Memory Box dies used are Carolina Birdhouse,
puffy clouds, peaceful bird & picket fence.

Makes me dream of spring and the yellow finches.
Thanks Carmela.

Christmas Joy - Memory Box & Spellbinder Dies

It has been an extremely busy time at work, home with extended
family and other things that happen along the way.  Illness I can do
without but this winter season has been tough with colds and
infections.    All that is aside and I am feeling better now.
Nothing better then crafting finally.

This card fits in a 5 x 7 envelope.   It is the perfect size for the
Spellbinder Card Creator Die Enchanted Labels 28.   I used the
largest die in the set.   All card stock is Stampin Up.

The Joy Die is from Memory Box.  I just love this die, it sparkles
How could you not be joy full just looking at it.  It cuts out like a dream
and it is raised with pop dots.

Her is the inside of the card using the Memory Box
Corner Die called Snowflake Corner.   I used the
entire die in the upper right corner and just cut it
to fit my space in the lower left corner.

The large white cute out if done using Spellbinders
Card Creator Elegant Labels 4 and it is the middle
size die.

I just love how the white and red pop.

Below you will see another sample of the same die
but used in a simple way.

Here's the same Memory Box Joy Die just on a plain red card
it is just beautiful on it's own .

This time I used the Memory Box Diamond Backgroung Die
I love this die.  Again it cuts like a dream and it the prefect
size to layer with .

The oval shape is Spellbinders Oval Die one of the medium size
dies in the set.

That it for now!   I hope to be back with more soon.

Merry Christmas to all of you!

I would love to get some comments on this.   Thanks much.

30 Days of Thanksgiving. A heart of thankfulness for this passed year.

This week is flying by and tomorrow is our Thanksgiving holiday.   I have been reflecting on this past year of my life since I lost my wonderful husband.
He was an amazing man with a great sense of humor and integrity. We had an amazing relationship and life together. I knew him since I was 12 years old. We did everything together with my cousins growing up through the years. Married at 19 and then add that to 45 years of a marriage made in heaven and it has been my whole life. I have never known a time without him. Last year was hard but we were all in the fog of grief just taking one step in front of the other and getting through . I am finding this second year so much harder. After the fog of grief lifts reality sets in and it seams so much more permanent than it did at first.

One thing I have learned is that life is way too short to worry about the small stuff. Not everyone will feel your pain or understand your loss since our relationships are at different levels of the heart and soul. What seems impossible is possible with God and He will get you through. I have cried, screamed and all of the emotions I possess were thrown at God and He has filled me with His peace and help as I needed it. Help comes in many ways through friends, family and in ways you least expect.
One thing I would say to those who are grieving is to hang on to the memories, it is hard at first but the tears will become somewhat less and the memories will  eventually give way to smiles and joys and it is important to hold on to them in a way that honor your relationship and the loved one you lost.
I am thankful for each and everyone one of you who are in my life.   Family and friends who have personally prayed and helped me in practical ways on this journey I am on, from mowing the lawn to just being there for me.   Crafting buddies and Facebook friends who have prayed, cried and shared with me.
I love you all and am so very thankful you are all in my life.

30 days of thankfulness. Day 25

Woopie,  first day back after being home in bed for over a week.    I am very thankful for my job and I am also very thankful that it is a three day work week for me.    You might think that is weird after being off work and sick for the past week.   It's one thing to be off work to do something you have planned around the house or just to have a fun day.   It quite another to be sick in bed.

So today I give thanks for wellness,  for the ability to work, and have a three day work week.

30 Days of Thankfulness - 22nd, 23rd, 24th

YEA,   I am finally feeling better,  something I can definitely give thanks for.   I am praying up a storm that I can stay well.   I was able to go to church today finally.

One thing laying in bed sick does to you is make you thankful for all the things you take for granted.   I already mentioned sight, smell and taste in my previous posts.    Today I am thankful for my hearing.  To be able to hear the wind blow as it is on this cold blustery day.    I love the sound of a nice steady rain,  the birds chirping and singing their song, music, and mostly my families voices.  To be able to communicate you inner most thought and feelings with words.   What a gift it is to hear.

As we approach this Thanksgiving holiday I am so very thankful for all I have been given.

God is good all the time!

30 Days of Thankfulness - Sweet Memories and Laughter. Day 20 & 21

November 21st.   One year and two months since my husband has gone on to his finally home with the Lord.

My hubby had a wonderful, nutty sense of humor and I am so very thankful for it.   There are times when I am feeling down that a little something he would have said just pops in my head and it makes me smile.  It makes me miss  him more but oh it make me smile in a good way.     There are times it make me laugh out loud.

Humor is such a God given wonderful gift.   Lets not get so wrapped up in the demands of life to loose sight of the humor God has given us.   We all need to smile and receive a smile.   Laughter is good medicine and God knew that we would all need a little laughter in our lives to get through the hard times.

So remember,  it take more facial muscles to frown then to smile,  So lets spread those smiles.

Thank you God for sweet memories and laughter.

30 Days of Thankfulness Day 19

Day 19-   11/19/13

Today I am very thankful the worst is over with the nasty cold / sick bug.   I am thankful for rest and recuperating in a nice warm bed.   Thankful for Gods had on my live as I continue on my life journey.

So far I have listed i am thankful for sight and smell.   Today I am reminded of taste with the nice warm  vegetable barley soup I devoured at lunch time.  The first thing that comes to mind when i think of taste is CHOCOLATE.   My favorite of course.  Dark Chocolate Almonds,  Dark chocolate almond butter anything oh my, yummy.

I am also reminded of the scripture that says "  Taste and see that the Lord He is Good, Blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him ! Psalm 34:8

Life does not always go the way we plan or expect it to but this I know for sure,
God is good all the time and He is my refuge!.

30 Days of Thankfulness - Day 18

Today I am still home sick with a nasty cold but I am so thankful for the sunshine, the ability to smell the air.   Have you noticed the air smells different at different time,  rain,  spring, summer, fall, winter.    Today is fabulous, sunny November day.   I can still see hints of fall colors, feel the sunshine on my face and body,  and smell the air.  There is still a hint of moisture from the rain we had this weekend.
How wonderful that God has given us the senses to breath in deeply his creations.

On another thought there are lots of crafting buddies I know from Facebook who were effected by the violent storms this weekend.   I pray for those who lost their homes and loved ones with the tornado that struck this weekend.   Now they start the clean up and assess the damage.   God give them strength and resources to get back to their lives.

Till next time.   Give us thankful hearts Lord.

Week - 3 of 30 Days of Thankfulness

WOW !   two weeks have passed already.   If you are interested in following along scroll down to see the previous posts.   I have posed each week as one post.

I fully planned on posting yesterday but what a day.   I left the house early to get some errands done and about 2 hours later came down with the worst cold ever, including a bad cold.    So I am thinking how can I be thankful for this cold.  UGH.

I can be thankful it is a cold and not something life threatening.

I can be thankful it is that weekend and I have tomorrow off, pre-arranged.  Who would have know I would need tomorrow for a different reason than I thought.

I am thankful for my heated bed warmer,  nice on a cold night but oh so nice when you are sick and feeling that extra chill the body has when it is sick

I am thankful I made the decision to get my house cleaned and laundry washed, dried, folded and Ironed  on Friday, night after work, before this illness hit.  I did not feel like it  after a week of working but I as so glad I did it.

I read my bible every morning and night and I study once a week.  Sometimes that does not seam like enough.  There is always too much to do.   Especially since I have to take care of everything now.  The inside of the house, the outside of the property and sometimes it is just too much.   Oh but I love doing.   I am a Martha, a doer and sometimes God has to pull in the reigns and say " It is time to rest?     So I am thankful for rest and can rest in knowing that as I rest and lean on my great God He will provide healing in some way.

So I guess I can honestly say, I am thankful for this cold.    Who would have known?
